Precision work starts for „RHAETIA“
Last week a euro pallet arrived at Landquart with small parts of partially disassembled RhB steam engine No. 1 „RHAETIA“.
The specialists of Club 1889 started with their refurbishing.
After the already revised V-measuring device (speedometer), the engine whistle and the partially disassembling of the loco, it is now the start for the handicraft refurbishing of the oldest steam engine of RhB.
We show a picture of the 131 year old drainpipes by means of three water taps for the engine driver to show him the water level, before and after the cleaning process.
